Smart film is a thin, switchable laminate applied to existing glass. Power it on and the glass is clear. Power it off and it turns to a solid private frost — in under a second.
The technology
Liquid crystals, low voltage, one switch.
Inside the film is a layer of liquid crystals suspended between two conductive surfaces. Without power the crystals scatter light in every direction, so the glass reads as opaque frost. Apply low-voltage power and the crystals align, light passes straight through, and the glass becomes clear.

The installation
A trained installer can complete most windows in one to three hours.

Survey and measure
Confirm glass dimensions, edge conditions, power access, and switch location before ordering film.

Prepare the glass
The glass is cleaned to a spotless finish. Preparation quality determines the final result more than anything else.
- 03
Apply the film
The film is cut to size and squeegeed onto the interior face of the glass, working out air and solution.

Connect the power
Low-voltage leads run to a transformer and switch. Concealed runs or new circuits should involve a licensed electrician.

Seal and test
Edges are sealed, the system is switched through clear and private states, and the customer is walked through operation.
